Studio One doesn't scale to larger studios as well as Pro Tools. It's as if someone took Pro Tools, removed many of the unnecessary mouse button presses, and rearranged the menus and dialogs to make sense. Thank you folks for providing me with the feedback so I can finally resolve this issue. Just to keep in mind that if you use advanced mouse models that need Logitech software to configure, then this might be an issue. So I removed Logitech Option and now it works, both scroll and zoom in/out! After the hint that this might be an issue related to the mouse, instead of the keyboard, I googled and found some threads talking about Logitech software might have something to do with the issue. Anyone who might have a hint is more than welcome.

I will keep trying every time when I think about it. I'm currently trying to get used to using W/E and mouse scroll/drag on the timeline above the edit area, but this approach requires more moves and clicks than my old workflow. I do miss horizontal zoom/scroll badly as I align/sync audio files from different sources quite often. It is quite interesting to see shift+wheel scrolling horizontally works in other apps (Logic, Chrome, Word and Excel) but just not Studio One. My post of the same question there has got a reply suggesting me to get a magic trackpad or mouse that supports tilt scroll, but I don't think that would solve the issue of not being able to zoom in/out with shift+command+wheel. Yet there's no solution replied to these posts. I read some posts on Studio One official forum that users complain about horizontal scroll/zoom with mouse wheel being broken after some updates, but I'm not sure whether my situation is one of these. I also tested with a Logitech K360 but the results did not change. The mouse is Logitech M330, the keyboard is Logitech K380 (mac supported). What mouse are you using? Trackpad? etcThanks for testing out for me. I just tried a Dell cheap mouse here on OSX Sierra with S1 3.5.6, both functions work here.
